What does Pierce Chapel have to offer you?

Here is a partial list of opportunities!

For Children

Nursery Ministry (newborn - 36 months)

The goal of our nursery ministry is to help our children from newborn through 36 months of age to experience Jesus’ love through a safe, stimulating, nurturing environment.  Four nursery caregivers staff our nursery during both worship services and Sunday School on Sundays mornings, as well as during Wednesday Night Supper and the activities that follow.

Children’s Ministry (3 years old - 6th grade)

The goal of our children’s ministry is to help children know Jesus and nurture them as his disciples.  We do this in part through the following ministries:

Sunday School Classes (each Sunday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.)

  Classes are grouped as follows:

- 3- & 4-year-olds - 3rd & 4th grades
- kindergarten & 1st grade - 5th & 6th grades (Tweenagers)
- 2nd grade

Children’s Church (each Sunday during the 8:30 and 11:00 services)

Following the children’s sermon, children age 3 through kindergarten are invited to attend Children’s Church, which offers them fun, age-appropriate lessons consisting of a Bible story, a related craft, and a game.

Vertical View

Join us each week for a new high-energy Children's Church for 1st - 4th graders during the 11:00 worship service. (Stay tuned for 8:30 service start date!)  The Vertical View - Where praise goes up and love flows down!

- kindergarten & 1st grades - 5th & 6th grades (Tweenagers)
- 2nd, 3rd, & 4th grades

Tweenager Ministry (for 5th & 6th graders)

The goal of the tweenager ministry is to provide a bridge for children as they transition from being children to youth.  The ministry offers 5th and 6th graders the opportunity to develop relationships with one another and to bond as a group as they grow toward Christian maturity.  Tweenagers have three regularly scheduled meeting times:

  • Sunday School (each Sunday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.)

  • Bible Buddies (Wednesdays during the school year, 6:15-7:15 p.m.)

  • Sunday evenings (5:30-7:15 p.m.), which includes supper, fun activities, and a Christ-centered program.

Kids In Missions (KIM)

The children meet quarterly for various missions projects.

For Youth
(7th - 12th grades)

The goal of our youth ministry is to grow spiritually mature disciples of Jesus Christ.  Youth are generally divided into two groups: middle school (7th & 8th grades) and high school (9th - 12th grades).  They have three regularly scheduled meeting times:

  • Sunday School (each Sunday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.)

  • Wednesday evenings during the school year (6:15-7:15 p.m.)

  • Sunday evenings (5:30-7:15 p.m.), which includes supper, fun activities, and a Christ-centered program.

Our youth ministry is led by SALT (Student-Adult Leadership Team) and offers many special opportunities throughout the year, including retreats, mission projects and trips, and social events.   See the Youth Page for more info, or contact our Director of Youth Ministries, Playol Shippey, at 706-507-0571 or via e-mail at playol@knology.net.
