Ministries for Children
Nursery Ministry (Newborn - 36 months)
The goal of our nursery ministry is to help our children from newborn through 36 months of age to experience Jesus’ love through a safe, stimulating, nurturing environment. Four nursery caregivers staff our nursery during both worship services and Sunday School on Sundays mornings, as well as during Wednesday Night Supper and the activities that follow.
Sunday School Classes (Sunday, 9:45am - 10:45am)
Our children's Sunday School classes help children ages 3 through the 6th grade to know Jesus, nurture them as His disciples, and help them learn about the Bible.
They are grouped as follows:
- 3 year-olds, 4 year-olds, and Kindergarten
- 1st and 2nd Grades
- 3rd and 4th Grades
- 5th and 6th Grades
Children's Church (Sunday during the 8:30 and 11:00 services)
Following the children’s sermon, children age 3 through kindergarten are invited to attend Children’s Church, which offers them fun, age-appropriate lessons consisting of a Bible story, a related craft, and a game.
Children's Church meets in Room 315 (across the hall from the Worship Center).
Vertical View (Sunday during the 8:30 and 11:00 services)
Join us each week in the chapel for a high-energy Children's Church for 1st - 4th graders!

Children's Choirs (Meet during the school year)
Our children's choirs provide an opportunity for our children to express their love of God vocally!
We have choirs available for many different age groups!
Check out the list below:
- Cherub Choir (ages 3-5) on Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
- Messenger Choir (kindergarten-2nd grade) on Sundays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- WWJD Choir (3rd & 4th grades) on Sundays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- CAST (Christ's Acting and Singing Troupe) (5th & 6th grades) on Sundays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Bible Buddies (Wednesdays during school year)
6:15pm - 7:15pm
The Bible Buddies ministry aims to help children learn Bible content in fun, stimulating, age-appropriate ways.
Classes are grouped as follows:
- Kindergarten - 2nd grade
- 3rd and 4th grade
- 5th and 6th grade
Tweenager Ministry (5th and 6th Graders)
The goal of the tweenager ministry is to provide a bridge for children as they transition from being children to youth. The ministry offers 5th and 6th graders the opportunity to develop relationships with one another and to bond as a group as they grow toward Christian maturity.
Tweenagers have three regularly scheduled meeting times:
- Sunday School
- Bible Buddies
- Sunday evenings (5:30-7:15 p.m.), which includes supper, fun activities, and a Christ-centered program.
Kids Living in Christ (K.L.I.C.)
This group, for 3rd and 4th graders, meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5:30 for supper and fun activities.
Ministries for Youth
The goal of our youth ministry is to grow spiritually mature disciples of Jesus Christ. Youth are generally divided into two groups: middle school (7th & 8th grades) and high school (9th - 12th grades).
They have three regularly scheduled meeting times.- Sunday School (each Sunday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.)
- Wednesday evenings during the school year (6:15-7:15 p.m.)
- Sunday evenings (5:30-7:15 p.m.), which includes supper, fun activities, and a Christ-centered program.
- His Image Worship Arts Ministry for 7th - 12th graders (meets Sundays, 4:30p.m. - 5:30p.m.) Any youth interested in music, drama, dance, and other creative forms of worship will have a blast in His Image! The goal of this ministry is to use our gifts to glorify God while sharing the message of God's love in any creative way we can find.
Our youth ministry is led by SALT (Student-Adult Leadership Team) and offers many special opportunities throughout the year, including retreats, mission projects and trips, and social events.

Every Wednesday during the school year we get together for Wednesday Night Supper.This is a great opportunity for families to learn and grow in their faith together, while participating in activities tailored to their age group.

A covered dish luncheon followed by games and activities for all ages!Held twice a year during the Spring and Fall seasons.

Sunday School for All Adults
Each Sunday morning at 9:45, folks gather to study Scripture, wrestle with important life issues, share prayer concerns, encourage each other, develop friendships with other Christians, and have fun! - College / Career Class
If you’re a high school graduate, college and early career age, please come join us. For those going away to college, come whenever you’re home for a visit. Questions? Led by Denise Rhinehart, this class is currently studying world religions and what people believe. Our focus is growth through fellowship and discussion - no homework required! Meets in north end of Worship Center. - Connections Class
Led by Meredith & Marty Graves, this class is for adults of all ages who are interested in Bible-based studies and small-group discussion. We are currently studying the gospel of Luke using Max Lucado’s Life Lessons series. Just bring yourself. Necessary materials will be provided in class. Meets in Room 208. - New Directions Class
Led by the pastor, we are a relatively new class made up of young and younger adults who desire to study, meet new people and live life together. We are currently doing a study on world religions. We also occasionally use the Wired Word, which looks at current events from a Christian perspective. Meets in office conference room. - Pathfinder's Class
Led by Jim O’Donnell, this “all ages” group seeks God’s path for their lives through various short-term studies. Currently they're studying the book of Daniel and will move on to the book of Revelation after that. Meets in Room 216. - Searcher Class
Led by Warren Mason, this class is currently engaged in a DVD-based study by John Ortberg titled “When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box.” This is a mixed-ages class that encourages lively discussion and interaction. Meets in Room 215. - Circle of Faith Class
Led by Lynn Meadows-White, this class of mixed ages is studying the Gospel of John—just bring your Bible! Meets in south end of Worship Center. - Harvester Class
Led rotationally by class members, this senior adult class studies the New International Bible Lesson Series, currently themed “Call Sealed With Promise.” In September we begin a new series on “Covenant Community,” based on both Old & New Testament passages. Meets in Room 206. - Waller Class
Led by Sara Bankhead, this senior adult class studies the New International Bible Lesson Series (see description above). Meets in Room 214.
For Women
- United Methodist Women - A mission organization with two different meeting times, the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00AM and the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM. The two groups occasionally come together for special events.
- Study Groups - There are multiple study groups meeting at various times. Contact Lynn Meadows-White for more information.
For Men
- Men for Christ - Meets on the first Monday of the month for supper, spiritual nurture, outreach, and service.
For Senior Adults
- Happy Achers - meets Thursdays at 11:00AM for lunch, prayer, support, outreach, and social activities.
