Pierce Chapel Youth
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Pierce Chapel Student Ministries is to make life-long disciples who are madly in love with God and other people.
Sundays - Summer Schedule
Each Sunday night from 5:00 to 7:15 p.m. 7th-12th graders meet in the
Worship Center for Catapult. We begin each Catapult meeting with dinner,
followed by some fellowship time, worship,and then small group time geared
toward equipping students to show the love of Christ to others. We conclude
with announcements and a closing prayer. In these talks we challenge the
students to dig deeper into their faith and to truly seek a relationship
with Christ.
Catapult is followed by Catapult 2.0, which is our weekly afterglow time.
Each week we take things a bit later than during the school year for pool
parties, movie nights, game nights, bowling, and much, much more.
Wednesdays
Each Wednesday night we meet from 6:30 to 8:30 for HAGTOWN (Have A Good
Time On Wednesday Nights) we meet at a local park for a picnic supper
followed by Ultimate Frisbee.
His Image (Worship Arts)
Any youth interested in music, drama, dance and other creative forms of worship will have a blast in His Image! Our goal is to use our gifts to glorify God while sharing the message of God’s love in any creative way we can find. We meet on Sundays from 4:30-5:30.
Monthly
Each month we have special events geared toward guys and girls individually as well as events for the entire group. These include activities such as Guys’ Video Game Nights, Girls’ Nights Out, joint events and community outreach.
Summer and Winter
Twice a year we have the opportunity to participate in Souled Out, presented by Jonathan and Lisa Moore Ministries. This is an amazing experience for students and adults alike. These retreats challenge and encourage students in a powerful way. Life-changing truths are revealed and the Spirit of God is very present. One trip takes place in June at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center near Panama City, Florida. The other takes place in January and is located in North Carolina. We include some skiing and snowboarding on this trip.
All in all, God is moving among our students. We would love to welcome your youth into our family. If you feel a call to student ministry (whether you have youth in your family or not), we would welcome your participation on SALT (our student and adult leadership team).
